Happy 23rd Anniversary, John!

John and I have been married for 23 years.  We went to a lovely restaurant, The Palm, and used a gift card I won.  It was quite nice.  Happy Anniversary, John!

A.J.'s Open House

AJ's elementary school had an open house this week.  All of AJ's artwork for the year was displayed.  He did a lot this year!

Michael's Tennis Banquet

Michael joined the JV Tennis Team this year.  He had a great season and is looking forward to next year.  There was a Banquet to honor the Tennis team members.  Here are a few pictures.

Twenty! Can I really be old enough to have two sons in their twenties?

David turned 20 this month.  We had a fun celebration at home.  Here are some pictures.

Michael loves to "warm" his hands by the candles on birthday cakes.  He does it at almost every birthday.  Look at my older posts, and you'll see him doing this same thing.

Don't you love it when your kids pose for pictures?

Attack of the Giant Ducks!

During our last trip, Disneyland was under attack by Giant Ducks!

But don't worry, we caught it on film.

A "Ghost Town" Day at Disneyland

I really wanted to spend the day at Disneyland in honor of my birthday, but our schedules have been so busy, we could not find the time.  Finally, we decided to pull the kids out of school and go on a day that was forecast (on isitpacked.com) to be a "Ghost Town."

We had such a wonderful day!  The park wasn't empty, but we didn't have to wait much longer than 20 minutes for any ride, and we were able to get fast passes for Radiator Racers.   Here are a few pictures.

Michael is 16!

We celebrated Michael's 16th birthday this month.  We love him so much and are so blessed to have him as part of our family!

Scripture Mastery 2013

This year was Michael's second year in Seminary (an early morning church class).  This year, they studied the New Testament.  As part of the end of year wrap up, the stake held a "Scripture Mastery" event where all the students were able to showcase what they've learned this year: how the scriptures apply to the normal, everyday life of teenagers.

Mormon Helping Hands 2013

Every year, we participate in Mormon Helping Hands, a day of service to our local community.  For the past few years, we've finished the ever increasing in size projects within a couple of hours.  This year, the city gave us a huge project which included painting fences throughout a local park, planting a ton of plants on a hillside, and moving 2 HUGE piles of mulch so that the hillsides were covered in mulch.

We had a lot of fun working (although AJ wasn't as excited as he was in past years), and we had a great sense of accomplishment when the tasks were complete!

Here are a few pictures.
