It's Official...

We're in escrow. Hopefully, if all goes well with the inspection, we will close by mid-December. The current owners are renting back until January 15, which works out just fine. Our apartment lease ends January 30. We'll let you know more as the situation progresses. If you want to take a look at the house, here are a few pictures. Or you can click here for a link to the realtor.com listing.

Okay, We Caved...

We bought a new toaster oven. It's great. We didn't go cheap this time, so our food is coming out perfectly cooked. No charcoal briquettes like our old one produced. (To read about it, click here for a link to my post about our old toaster oven.) No half burnt, half raw food coming out either.

This toaster oven is like my favorite one we've ever owned. I can fit a medium size pizza and a casserole plan in it (well, not at the same time). It's a Black and Decker (who in my opinion make the best toaster ovens). However, if it starts misbehaving, I'll be sure to post pictures of the results here.

Michael loves Basketball, but...

When he plays, he's serious about it. Last year, he jammed his finger and sprained it. Yesterday, he did it again. It's feeling much better today, but it's bruised pretty good.

David, Michael, and AJ dressed up for Halloween this year. David and Michael went to a Halloween party at the house of a member of the Stake Presidency. AJ felt he had enough trick or treating at the ward Halloween party, so he helped us give out candy on Halloween.

Carving Pumpkins!

The boys and I carved pumpkins for Halloween. David and Michael carved their pumpkins themselves, and A.J. designed his (but I helped carve it. Okay, I carved the whole thing.) We had a great time!

My Blog was Hijacked!

John told me he wanted to post the pinewood derby videos on my blog, so I gave him my log on information. Big mistake! He posted the past few entries. I did not learn a new word (Boondoggle), or post something about how wonderful my husband is (which he is, but it would have been more complimentary if I'd posted those things about him rather than him posting them about himself.

To prevent future misunderstandings, I invited him to be a blog author and am changing my password.
My Husband is Awesome

My husband John is awesome. No wait, awesome isn't accurate. He's super-awesome! No thats not good enough either. Super-Awesome-Fantastic!! No, I don't like that either. Hmm, I'm going to have to think of a new word to describe how great John is. Well, in the mean time, I'll just say that John is great, and I love him very much.
Some kid pictures

Here are some pictures John took after he got his iPhone.

Pinewood Derby Pictures

I learned a new word! Boondoggle. What does it mean? I'm glad you asked. In our modern age, you can make a video recording in many mediums. On your phone, on your camera, on video tape (although I don't know anyone who does), or on a video camera.

So we need a word that encompasses all these thing. You can't say "film" it. Who uses film anymore? "Tape" it doesn't work. Everything is digital theses days. So now we can say boondoggle.

See, you learn something new every day. Check out these movies John boondoggled on his phone, of AJ's pinewood derby race.
This is Micheal and AJ racing their cars. Michael used a car he and John made a couple years ago.

As you can see John has not gotten any better at building theses cars, since they had a close race.
