This is what happens when I try to take pictures of my kids...

On New Year's Eve, we made homemade pizza, an annual family tradition.  But my boys just don't like me to take their picture!

But I did manage to get a couple of pictures with them looking at the camera.

Nativities

Shortly after Christmas, we went to the Los Angeles Temple Visitor Center to view a Nativity display.  I took pictures of some of my favorites.

David

Our son, David, was serving a mission in Cambodia teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Vietnamese people.  While in the field, he became ill and was unable to receive the medication he needed in Cambodia (it is unavailable there).  David returned home on Thursday, February 21, and we were so happy to see him!

We are so very proud of David.  He worked extremely hard and did all he was asked to do.  He is doing much better now.  He's planning to go back to school (hopefully this fall) and is keeping busy!

Welcome home, David!

How to Tie a Tie

John taught Michael a new way to tie a tie on Sunday.

I Won!!

Yesterday, I entered a "Share and Win" contest on Facebook for the 2013 Tet Festival in Garden Grove.  Well, I won 10 tickets to it.  I am so excited!

For those who don't know, Tet is the Vietnamese (lunar) New Year.  We've never really participated in a huge celebration, so we are looking forward to it!

Ninja Bread Men

John saw some fun cookie cutters at a work function and decided to buy some.  After searching several stores, he finally found them at the Glendale Galleria Target.

He and the boys made them out of sugar cookie dough.  After cooking and decorating, John brought them to church the next day for the boys in his class.

I Guess This Makes It Official

David's really a missionary.
